BRAKES for Electric Motors

Any standard off-the-shelf rotor nl® motor can be fitted with a brake supplied as an assembly kit. In order to be able to fit a EBM brake to 71, 80 or 90 frame electric motor you must have an access to a lathe to be able to drill and tap a hole in the shaft, which is not drilled and tapped as standard. The 100, 112, 132 and 160 frame sizes are delivered with NDE shaft pre-drilled.

The brakes are available with or without a Hand Realease.

Larger brake motors are available from our factory in the Netherlands at short lead times.
